This is what my bathroom looks like most days.

This is what it looks like after Zachary has spent 20 minutes in the bathroom with me entertaining himself while I blow dry my hair and put on makeup.

Notice all the weird items imported for other areas of the house like the kitchen tongs and my exercise theraband.  My favorite is when he puts the face cloths on his head and says 'ha' (which means hat).

Fairmont

Last week our little family was able to getaway for a few days together.  Although, the weather wasn't ideal, we did get one nice day and we made the best of the weather we did get.  We spent the days golfing, going to the hot springs and touring around.  Really the best part of the trip was just having uninterrupted time to spend together as a family.  A big thank you to Murray's parents for inviting us and for taking care of us all week.

Zachary Poops!

Okay, so he has been pooping since the day he was born but yesterday he actually pooped in the toilet!

Grandma Jeannie and I caught him in the act of pooping in his diaper and quickly whisked him away to the bathroom, there he finished his poop in the toilet.

This post may not be interesting to some, but we thought it was pretty funny.

Ha ha ha.  Every time I look at these pictures they make me smile.  Who knows maybe we are on our way to potty training?

Zachary's First Easter

Thank goodness for the great weather this weekend!  It was so nice to spend some time out in the sunshine.

Because Murray had to leave for work on Sunday we had our Easter celebration one day early here at home.  Zachary searched for a few plastic eggs that had Cheerios and fish crackers inside.  It was fun.

Sunday Zachary and I headed out to the farm where Grandma Jeannie and Grandpa Terry had organized a small Easter basket hunt for the kids.

It truly was a fantastic day.

Great Friday!

Most of you know I am a big fan of organization.

This Friday my Mom came out to give me a hand cleaning and organizing our crawl space.  I soon found out where my organizational skills came from, my Mom is a pro!  She had that room organized and it tip-top shape in no time.  I was so stupidly happy about it I was smiling the whole time.  Strange I know.

Afterwards, Mom watched Zach so Murray and I could go out to dinner and a movie and spend some much needed quality time together.  It was so nice.

Now I know this isn't the usually way people spend Good Friday but I have to say that my family had a Great Friday!

Good to be back...

Yesterday was my first day back substitute teaching since Zachary was born.

I was anxious and excited to be back in the classroom again.  I got to school early, read over my notes, and I thought I was prepared.

On my way to my homeroom in the morning 3 students came rushing at me from the door and said 'Mrs B, Mrs B, someone puked"!  Sure enough as I entered the room one poor boy had thrown up all over himself and the floor in a huge stinky mess.

I smiled to myself and thought 'ahhhh its good to be back'!

An Egg-stra Special Day!

Yesterday a few lady friends and I got together to take some Easter photos.  They were the photographers I was happy to be the kid distractor and happy face maker.

It was a chaotic but fun afternoon and we did end up with a few great shots.

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

I am so excited... I am flying to Ontario and visit my sister for four whole days without Zachary...

I am so nervous... I am flying to Ontario to visit my sister for four whole days without Zachary...

I am definitely having mixed feelings about the trip.  I am so looking forward to sharing some pre-wedding excitement with my sister but four days seems like a long time to be away from Zach, even though I know Murray and Zachary will do fine together.  Murray is a really pro and I know Zachary loves when he gets Daddy time.

I think all you Mommies out there know just how I am feeling this morning.
