Not sure if any of you remember but my husband does have a blog. He hasn't posted since October but he finally put a new post up so I thought I would advertise.
or simply google Something about Murray.
Happy Friday!
For Valentine's Day we had a fondue dinner followed by chocolate fondue. Murray smeared chocolate around Zachary's face to make it look like a mustache. After looking in the mirror Zach said he looked like Mario!
Happy Thursday!
6 Months... 1/2 a year... 176 days. Wow. Its hard to believe Elliott has been a part of our lives that long already.
Elliott is 20 lbs 6 ozs and 29 inches long. He is currently working on his 5th tooth! Nursing him feels like putting your hand in a bear trap (when I say hand you understand that I mean my most valuable parts)!! He has started to try new foods but is indifferent to most except bananas. He goes crazy for banana and cries if you try to take it away. He can sit independently but is still a little too wobbly to be left alone without any pillows or blankets around him.
In short, he's perfect... or at least we think he is anyway.
smiling when he wakes up from a nap.
new Oilers hat.
Elliott the thumb sucker (although he is doing this less and less now).
all covered in banana mush... yum.
Happy Wednesday!
*I should preface this next post by saying its not that Elliott is a neglected baby its just that he is so easy that sometimes I forget about him*
I put Elliott in his highchair while vacuuming the house one afternoon, after going down the hall and around the corner I thought I should come back to check on him since he was so quiet. This is what I found...
Be still my heart.
Happy Tuesday!
As the mom of a three years old I have a lot of fun teaching Zachary new things but every now and then he teaches me as well.
Last Monday, the boys and I went to the grocery store. It was close to naptime so I wanted to try to shop as quick as possible, before everything started to breakdown.
Zachary started off in the big part of the cart (Elliott was in the front) but as the cart filled up with groceries he was starting to get squished and asked if he could get out. I thought ok I guess you can get out (we only have 2 more things to get), he shouldn't slow me down too much. As we approached the frozen food aisle I noticed that Zachary was starting to fall behind and had gotten lost in the floral department.
Me (in a frustrated voice): Zachary what are you doing?
Zachary: I am just stopping to smell the roses Mom.
Me (lost for words): Oh... ok then.
Too often we get lost in the everyday routine of life (me especially) its nice to be reminded to slow down and enjoy the moment a little more.
Thanks Zachary for the reminder.
Happy Sunday!
Hoping you get a chance to stop to smell the roses.
