Has it really almost been a month since I have blogged? The time has gone by so fast. Bare with me because I think this is going to be a long one, so much has happened in the last three weeks.
Firstly, Zach and I traveled to southern Ontario a week before my sisters wedding to help out. The way things worked out Josh (the groom to be) was golfing away a couple of days and my brother came in early as well so for a few days before the wedding it was just Sam, Mitchell, Zach and I hanging out and running wedding errands. We actually had a lot of fun together, reconnecting while driving around singing in the car.
Mitchell and Zach outside of Bulk Barn as we bought candy for the candy buffet
Sam making fondant icing for the rice crispy wedding cake...I know I was skeptical too but it turned out great see...
Uncle Josh entertaining Zach around their house.
Then came the day of the wedding.
I thought I would be more emotional but I only cried as she came down the aisle...oh and when I had to give my toast to the bride. It was a truly beautiful day and I was so thankful to have had the chance to be a part of it. Unfortunately though I was pretty busy because I was in the wedding party and Murray was busy chasing Zach around all day so I did not get too many pictures. I am looking forward to seeing some of the photographers pictures. Here are a few that I did manage to take.
The happy couple taking some fun pics.
One of my favorites so far. My brother Mitchell, my sister Sam and I.
a special moment shared with my baby sister.
I didn't get any pictures of Zachary as the ring bearer so far but he did a pretty good job. One of Josh's cousins pulled him down the aisle in a wagon and Zachary waved out the back with a big smile. Hopefully I can get a picture from some of the other relatives that were there. Here is a picture at the rehearsal the evening before.
After the wedding we headed off on our own to Niagara Falls and to Toronto. It was nice to spend some quality time with our little family.
The classic Maid of the Mist group photo.
They even had baby blue garbage bags to wear!
Looking out of the Skywheel.
Murray on...well...Murray Street.
The giant post card outside of Souvenir City
I think this was Zachary's favorite part of Niagara Falls, chasing the butterflies around the butterfly conservatory.
After Niagara Falls we drove to Toronto, on our way we stopped at the African Lion Safari just outside of Cambridge. Zachary loved all the animals there. In Toronto we visited the CN Tower, shopped a little down Young street but the definite highlight was the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Here we are with the sacred Stanley Cup!
Its fun to be away but it's always nice to come home. This past week we have been catching up on things around the house. Murray's back at work. Zachary and I are busy, but I couldn't tell you what we do really. Just enjoying the summer.
Happy Wednesday! Oh its almost Thursday...
love the pictures - looks like you had a great time!
