Addicted...

Addicted to baby smiles...oh the baby smiles!

Sometimes I will spend a whole morning starring at my son, trying to find new ways to make him smile.  I am rewarded every single time and it never gets old.  In the quiet moments of the morning when he is smiling back at me I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Happy Father's Day

Although my husband has only been a father for 3 short months, he has proven himself to be a very proud and dedicated one.  I am so thankful to share this life with him.

Forever and Always

The Baptism of Zachary Michael (and his cousin Lincoln)

I had a busy week last week leading up to the Baptism with all the preparation that was involved.  Plus, it was the first time Murray had been away for work since Zac was born so that was an added stress.  But with a little help from friends and family everything went really smoothly.

The morning before the Baptism Murray and I also spent some time with God.  Trying to remind ourselves about the commitment we were making and what that would mean for us as Zachary's parents.  With all the hustle and bustle of the week, I was thankful we were able to focus on what was really important.

With all the chaos of the actual day I was not able to get many pictures.  Thank you Sandra for taking photos during and after Mass (of else I would not have any).

Thank you to Michael and Katie who were able to fly from Michigan to be Zachary's Godparents.  We are thankful that you will have such a special role in Zachary's life.

BuchanThank you to everyone who was able to come out and celebrate this special day in Zachary's life.  It meant so much to be surrounded by our family and friends to celebrate God's love.

Happy Wednesday.

1st Annual Heathens Bocce Tournament 2008

Last weekend we headed out to a Bocce Tournament organized by our friends Sue and Stu.  Even though the weather was less than perfect, it was a great weekend filled with friends, campfires, and of course lots of Bocce.  Well our team "The Scottish Frogs"did not have great Bocce skills so we did not win the championship.  We did, however, win a prize for being best dressed!  Even Zac had a t-shirt and kilt.  It was a very fun weekend indeed.

Lifting His Head

Don't have a lot of time to post this morning but I did want to share a few pictures of Zac starting to hold his head up.

He Did It!

It was touch and go for awhile there but it looks like my brother will graduate and this weekend we got to celebrate it.  It has been one of my biggest hopes for my brother to get his diploma and I was so thankful to be there to witness the event.

My brother graduated in true Mitchell fashion with a white tux, black shirt and a lime green vest.  Of course he completed the outfit with Versace sunglasses and tie.  I have to admit though he did look good.

Some pictures from the weekend.
