More Photos...

Well am I very lucky to have more than one friend who is a great photographer. Christine gave me a give certificate for a 6 month photo shoot at my baby shower and we were able to get together this week to have the photos done (more like a 7 month photo shoot).  Even though Zachary was cranky most of the day with his teeth he was able to turn on the charm for the camera.

Thanks Christine.  Check out more of the photos here.

Happy Halloween.

once a ponytail girl, always a ponytail girl

In high school my friends teased me about always wearing my hair in a ponytail.  The truth was it was so thick I didn't have the time or energy to do anything else with it.

Fast forward ten years and not much has changed.  After Zachary was born I felt I really needed a change so I lightened my hair.  After that wasn't enough of a change I lightened it more and chopped 6 inches off. And even though I love the new look, part of me is still kicking myself for doing it because now I have difficulties getting it all in a ponytail.  I like having 'a style' for my hair but when push comes to shove I like the ease of pulling my hair back off of my face.

I guess I will always be a ponytail girl at heart.

Just something I have been thinking about while my next hair appointment fast approaches.

Happy Wednesday.

The Littlest Oiler Fan

You can't live in Oil country and not be an Oilers fan.  This weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to the Oilers first home game.

I do love the Oilers but to be honest I am a little bit of a on-again off-again fan.  I am a big fan when they are winning and disinterested when they are losing.  Murray, however, is a true Oilers fan and it was nice to get the chance to share that with Zachary.

A picture of the seven of us at the game.

Chilly Montana

Taking full advantage of my maternity leave, we were able to visit Montana this past week while Murray was down there for work.  Had the weather been nicer (the wind was 50 mph) the trip would have been much better. Trees that had beautiful fall leaves when we arrived were bare the day we left. We did, however, get to spend one day in Glacier National Park, which was very beautiful.  There is something so majestic about the mountains, they always make me feel so very small and insignificant (in a good way).

There was not too much to do, but it was nice to have a few days to relax.  I did not think about laundry, dishes and all those other chores that plague me daily.

Montana, a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there!

Happy Thanksgiving!
