I'm Back

Apparently, over the holiday season I also took a holiday from blogging.  Thank you to those of you who have been patently checking my site waiting for some new material (some of you were not so patient...you know who you are)

Lets see what has happened since my last post...

Christmas was busy, crazy, and so much fun.  We loved watching Zach rip
paper and then eat it.  Next year he will understand more but this year
was fun.

We spent two great weeks with my sister and fiance over Christmas holidays.  They were both such good company and great helps.  I don't think I could have pulled off Christmas dinner for 27 without them.  Zachary loved visiting with his Aunty and Uncle.

While my sister was out I had a bridal shower for her.  The theme was a Mad Hatter Tea Party and it turned out great.  I think Samantha enjoyed herself. I am really looking forward to their wedding this June.

My brother also came home for a visit and although we did not get to see a lot of each other I am thankful for the time we did get to spend together.

News Years was a bit of a bust...again this year.  Although we did get to spend part of the night with some great friends, Zachary developed this ugly barking cough and we opted to go home.  We celebrated 2009 in the truck on the way home.  Woo Hoo!  Its a good thingNew Years Eve parties do not determine how good the rest of the year will turn out.  Last New Years we also celebrated in the truck because I drove out with Murray out to a rig with him (6 months pregnant).  He came to the truck gave me a kiss and then had to keep working.  Not such a great New Years but 2008 turned out to be an amazing year for us.

New Years Day we took Zach to the hospital because he was having difficulty breathing.  Two doctors appointments later we were assured it was just a cough and cold.  I can empathize with parents out there who, have really sick kids, because when your child is sick, truly nothing else matters.

Then January 6th came and we were off to Mexico for ten days!  I swear Zach started to feel better the moment we stepped off the plane (so did Murray and I).  The humidity really help to clear him out and he started acting like his old self again.  What a great trip!  We were fortunate enough to go along with 14 other family members and friends and they were a great group to travel with.  With a few grandparents on the trip Murray and I were able to spend a night out, go zip lining together, I spent an afternoon at the Spa and Murray got in 18 holes of golf.  Zachary loves swimming so he spent most of his time in the pool and he loved having all the attention of his cousins for 10 days.

Thanks Annette for all the work you did to organize everything.  We really had a wonderful time.

So now its the middle of January (the worst month in my mind) and our family is back to its regular schedule.  Murray is busier than ever at work and Zachary and I are finding things to keep us busy through the long winter days.  I am hoping for some creative inspiration so that I can start scrapbooking and finish some projects that have been on my to do list.  Oh and I promise to keep up more with my blog.

Happy Thursday.

  1. I'm sending some creative inspiration your way. I've got the creative itch lately. We should get together and scrapbook. (Is that possible with 3 kids at our feet?)
